Vulnicura VR the first virtual reality album

We have worked with Bjork and her creative director James Merry to help build the world's first VR album.

Developed over two years the VR album features contributions from award winning directors and photographers Andrew Huang, Inez and Vinood, Warren du Preez and Nick Thornton Jones and Jesse Kanda.

Working collaboratively with diverse motion and environment capture partners, animators, coders, immersive audio software and hardware companies, 3rd Space Agency has helped Bjork to explore new production partnerships and develop new content creation pipelines.

Shot on location in Iceland by award-winning director Andrew Thomas Huang, the ten minute long film for 'black lake' was commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art, New York and debuted there in March 2015. this video takes a look behind the scenes at the people and technologies used to create black lake and other content from Vulnicura.

Immersive VR Playback

Working with Intel, HTC, AMD and Bowers and Wilkins we designed a system to playback the immersive 'full virtual reality' room-scale playback of Bjork's latest experiments with the medium. Visitors move thorough the show at the rate of one hundred per hour and for many it is their first taste of 'true' virtual reality. Played back on the best possible hardware.
